THE STUDIOS

Construction of Kathie's pottery studio was completed in January 2007.  Dave Ball, with Ball Enterprises, was the contractor, and his crew and subcontractors did a wonderful job!  The highlight of the project was the day the Geil gas kiln arrived from Huntington Beach, California.  The semi flatbed truck couldn't drive into the Kenilworth neighborhood safely, so Dave arranged for a telescopic forklift to take the kiln off the truck, transport it over a mile down Kenilworth Road, and place it onto the studio slab.

Robert converted Kathie's basement studio space into a woodturning shop after she settled in to the new studio.  The space is small and relatively dark.  They joke that it's Robert's "dungeon" to Kathie's "castle", but he hardly notices when he's turning bowls.
